Project Evaluation and Retrospective Assessment provides guidance on how to establish an effective, efficient and consistent process for evaluating projects, including harm-benefit analyses and retrospective assessments. The booklet provides information on how ethical review bodies can effectively evaluate projects including the application of the principles of the 3Rs, conduct harm benefit analyses including the factors to be taken into consideration when assessing harms or benefits, how to conduct retrospective assessments, and tools to facilitate all of these actions. A poster depicting the project evaluation process can be downloaded from: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/chemicals/labanimals/pdf/posters/PosterProject%20Evaluation_vertical.pdf.
