The Macaque Website

The Macaque Website provides information and practical guidance on the natural history and behaviour of macaques, their care and management in captivity, and ways to assess their welfare.

The resource comprises of illustrations, referenced information, practical guidance and videos from research and breeding facilities around the world with different animal management procedures

It was developed by the UK’s National Centre for the 3Rs who retain copyright of their resources. Individual resources may be downloaded for personal use. Copyright of linked external websites is retained by the authors of these sites.

This resource will be of benefit and use to animal care staff and technicians, facility managers, vets, researchers and IACUC/AWERB members.
