Animal Welfare, Ethics and the 3Rs: Training materials and resources is a collection of resources and teaching materials for providing education and training in topics including: ethical review processes, animal welfare, application of the 3Rs, public engagement. Individual resources include both student and tutor notes.

These materials are suitable for use by individuals who provide an education or training in animal welfare, ethics and the 3Rs.

Undergraduate and Taught Masters Research Animal Sciences curricula

This resource could be used in the delivery of the following Learning Outcomes:

  • Their personal ethical and moral boundaries and views
  • Engage in discourse (at least with peers) about the use of research animals

This education could be delivered either using role play debate (Pg 6) or a discussion seminar (Pg 1).
