GM animals


International Mouse Phenotyping Resource of Standardised Screens is a repository of agreed, standardised protocols for phentotyping GM mice with respect to variations in appearance, function or behaviour. It includes both mandatory and optional procedures, with an experimental protocol and list of measurements to be taken being provided for each procedure.

The resource also provides links to other international repositories and databases of information on GM mice and individual genetic mutations

Impress has been developed by an international consortium of leading mouse research institutes and funding bodies. There are no copyright restrictions regarding the use of this resource This resource can be utilised by both researchers who use GM mice in their research and individuals responsible for the welfare and husbandry of GM animals.
