Experimental and statistical design

3Rs-Reduction is an interactive short course on experimental design for scientists who use research animals. It comprises of sections which include: choice of experimental units, power and sample size, controlling variability, types of experimental design, factorial experiments and statistical analysis. Most sections are followed by a "Test yourself" page of true/false questions.

This resource has been developed by Dr Michael Festing who has international reputation in research animal welfare. Copyright is retained by Dr Festing.

The resource is particularly suitable for PhD students and early career researchers but may also be used in the continued professional development of more established researchers.
