Animal handling and basic procedures in Laboratory Animal Sciences is a series of videos which provide information on best practice in the handling, restraint and basic procedures in common laboratory animal species.

The videos provide education and training on how to handle hens, mink, mice, pigs, rabbits and rats, and also how to inject pharmacological agents or take blood samples by different routes in these species. The videos are also available via VIMEO.

These resources were developed by Norecopa (Norway's National Consensus Platform for the advancement of the 3Rs) and the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science. Copyright is retained by the developers.

They will be of use both by researchers who use these species in their studies and by those involved in the education and training of laboratory animal scientists and technologists.
